Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

Words with initial capital letters have meanings defined below. The following definitions apply whether they appear in singular or plural.

Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions:

• Affiliate means any entity that controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with a party, where “control” means ownership or the ability to direct management or policies (including affiliated trusts, foundations, or NGOs).
• Country refers to India.
• Jurisdiction refers to Tamil Nadu, India.
• Organization (referred to as “the Organization,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) means Glove Society, a non-governmental organization (NGO) with its address at No.72, 4th Street, Rajagopalapuram, Moulivakkam, Chennai – 600125.
• Device means any device that can access the Service, such as a computer, mobile phone, or tablet.
• Service refers to the Website.
• Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) means this agreement that governs your use of the Service.
• Third-party Social Media Service means any services or content provided by a third party that may be displayed, included, or made available by the Service.
• Website refers to Glove Society, accessible at https://theglovesociety.com/
• You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the organization or other legal entity on whose behalf such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

Acknowledgment

These Terms govern your use of the Service and form a binding agreement between you and the Organization. Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part, you may not access the Service.

You represent that you are at least 18 years old. The Service is not intended for individuals under 18.

Your access to and use of the Service is also conditioned on your acceptance of our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and disclose personal information. Please read it carefully before using the Service.

Use of the Service

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of or restrict/inhibit anyone else’s use of the Service.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to the Website or related systems (including by introducing malware, scraping, or bypassing security).

Donations

• No online payments on the Website. The Website does not accept or process donations directly. We collect donor details (full name, mobile number, and PAN) via a form. After you submit the form, the Website displays Glove Society’s bank/UPI details so you can make a manual transfer through your own bank or UPI app.
• Your responsibility. You are responsible for verifying our account/UPI details before initiating any transfer and for keeping proof of payment (e.g., UTR/transaction ID). Any bank/UPI charges are your responsibility.
• Refunds. Because transfers occur outside the Website through your bank/UPI, we generally cannot reverse or refund donations once credited to our account. If a transfer was made in error, please contact your bank/UPI provider and also email us; while we will try to assist, we cannot guarantee a reversal.
• Receipts/Acknowledgments. To issue an acknowledgment/receipt, we may request your transaction reference, date, and amount. We will never ask for your card numbers, CVV, net-banking passwords, UPI PINs, or OTPs.
• Compliance. You agree to provide accurate details and consent to us contacting you for donation-related purposes and to satisfy legal or tax requirements in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Donations from outside India may be subject to additional legal requirements; you are responsible for ensuring compliance with any such requirements.

Content and Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, all content on the Website (including text, graphics, logos, and images) is the property of the Organization or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written permission, except as permitted by law (e.g., fair use).

Links to Other Websites

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by the Organization. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. You acknowledge and agree that the Organization shall not be liable for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on such content, goods, or services. We encourage you to review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Organization and its trustees, officers, employees, volunteers, agents, partners, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, third-party services linked from the Service, or any content therein—even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

“AS IS” and “AS Available” Disclaimer

The Service is provided to you “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate, or free of harmful components.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that the courts located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.

If you have any concern or dispute about the Service, you agree to first try to resolve it informally by contacting us using the details below.

Region-Specific Provisions

• EU Users: If you are an EU consumer, you will benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you reside.
• U.S. Sanctions Compliance: You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as a “terrorist-supporting” country, and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Severability and Waiver

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be modified and interpreted to accomplish its objectives to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. No waiver of any term shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term.

Translation

If we provide a translation of these Terms, the English version will prevail in case of any conflict.

Changes to These Terms

We may modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide at least 30 days’ notice before new terms take effect. By continuing to access or use the Service after changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.
